Defective or Damaged Material
You must have someone at the delivery location to help unload the order. Deliveries are "curb side". The driver's will not bring the material into your home. If you are handicapped or have no way of assisting the driver, please call our office and we will explain the extra fee to have the material unloaded.
The freight carrier will usually contact you prior to the delivery. If the materials to be delivered to a terminal,we will send you an e-mail listing the terminal phone number and a tracking number. If you have not heard from the freight carrier by the time you have received this e-mail, we suggest that you contact them to confirm the delivery date and time.
The freight company will usually give you the date of delivery, and a time window which should be a two to six hour time span.
Whoever is accepting the delivery must inspect it and sign for the order
according to the Delivery Checklist we send you.
If you have any material is damaged, we will always replace that material at no cost to the customer, providing the customer followed the simple Delivery Checklist we sent them when they made the purchase. The Delivery Checklist we send you lists in detail how to inspect your order when it arrives. This is a very simple procedure that anyone can do, or get someone to do. We ask you that when you inspect the order, if there is any damage, you note it on the delivery slip the driver asks you to sign. This insures that we will be able to get credit for the replacement material we would have to send you. We use some of the largest carriers in Canada serving to USA. Their damage and claim ratio is less than 1%! The chances or your order being damaged in transit are slim. Even when there is damage, it has been minor and we have rectified it immediately.
Every box contains "Installation Instructions" sheet. If you suspected you have a manufacturer defect, DO NOT INSTALL, it is owner's and installers responsibility to inspect the material before installing. You would need to contact us and we would explain how to proceed. Usually, the floor will have to be inspected by a certified inspector, who can usually come out to your home within a week. If the problem turns out to be a valid claim, the floor would be replaced . Every manufacturer has different policies regarding their warranties. If you have specific warranty related questions, contact our office and we will put you in touch with the appropriate manufacturer.
