AcoustiCORK by Badger Cork has been used and proven effective in thousands of acoustical underlayment applications throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Whether the flooring material is hardwood, natural stone, marble or ceramic,AcoustiCORK provides an outstanding sound barrier. High rise condominiums, office buildings and hotels are just a few of type buildings using AcoustiCORK to control unwanted noise.
WHY CORK?
The unique cellular construction of cork, consisting of approximately 200 million
air filled cells per cubic inch is the secret. The entrapped air serves as an
effective noise barrier, while providing natural resilience and comfortable
insulation values. Plus, cork is environmentally friendly because it is one
of nature's few renewable resources.
Cork oak bark is harvested in nine years cycles with mature trees living up to 250 years. Unlike synthetic man-made underlayments, cork cells do not break down or lose their natural resilience even after years of heavy use.
WHY AcoustiCORK?
AcoustiCORK has proven itself to be extremely effective insulation
of both impact and airborne sound from floor to floor and room to room. Not
only is AcoustiCORK quite, it's comfortable under foot. So how
o we know? Because we have put AcoustiCORK to the tests and the
results have been outstanding.
AcoustiCORK has been tested according to ASTM standards for acoustical values at Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories in Geneva,IL, an independent laboratory accredited by the National Bureau of Standards of US Department of Commerce, National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program under coordination and supervision of Tile Institute of America. The results are shown below
